Last week we took our annual trip to the blueberry farm, one of my favorite summer outings! In the past we have picked at C.N. Smith Farm and Ward’s Berry Farm, but this year we took our first trip to Tree-Berry Farm in Scituate. The weather was perfect, the kids were in happy, cooperative moods, and the blueberries were plentiful!
It’s time to hit the pumpkin patches and find those perfect gourds! We took the kids this weekend (a little weird to be climbing over pumpkin vines in shorts) and had a blast. There are some great local places to pick-your-own pumpkins, many include other attractiosn like hayrides, animals, and even corn mazes!
What screams FALL more than a corn maze? Head on down to down to Sauchuk Farm in Plympton to test your sense of direction in their new fall maze! There are two mazes to choose from at the farm, the main maze (takes 1-2 hours to complete) and the kiddie maze if you’re feeling a little less adventurous (takes about 15 minutes to get through).
Sometimes serious snowstorms keep the kids inside. Why not declare an ‘Indoor Snow Day’? Bake something sweet, drink hot chocolate, snuggle up with a good book or two, and surprise them with indoor snow play!
