Get in the spirit of the season with free, family fun at the 7th Annual Holidays on the Green at The Pinehills in Plymouth on Saturday, December 3rd! Holiday activities include something for everyone in the family. Enjoy Victorian carolers and costumed characters, march in the Reindog Parade, take pictures with Santa, sample some hot cider, decorate cookies and ornaments, and watch the lighting of the Christmas tree at the Village Green. There will be plenty of chances to catch up on your holiday shopping too!

Throughout the holiday season, The Shops at the Prudential Center have festive activities planned for the whole family.  From a gingerbread house contest to a world-record caroling attempt with Keith Lockhart, to a visit with Santa, Prudential Center will be glowing with holiday cheer for all!

Nov 18 – Dec 26:  Gingerbread House Display and Contest
Come by to see gingerbread houses created by Boston area attractions, like Boston Duck Tours and the New England Aquarium, set up in Huntington Arcade! A Facebook contest is being held to see what famed establishment has the most creative and original display.  [click to continue…]

DIY Magnetic Advent Calendars

Advent Calendars are a favorite holiday tradition in our home.  Whether it’s candy, tiny treats or even Legos (my boys’ favorite) behind those little door, the anticipation gets them out of bed extra early and extra happy throughout December!

If you’re the creative type, there are many DIY Advent Calendar ideas out there, courtesy of fabulous sites like Tip Junkie and Skip to My Lou.  We like these Magnetic Advent Calendars, they’re cute, versatile, and just plain adorable!

It’s almost turkey time!  If your day involves cooking and kids, a bit of juggling (and patience) is in your future.  While you’re chopping, dicing, basting and mashing in the kitchen, keep little hands busy with these kids Thanksgiving printables.   Place them on the kids table or use them as pre-meal activities!
