Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with these parades and family friendly events all around the South Shore.   New events will be added as we get them! 


Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 5th, 11am
The parade route is about 2 miles long. Parade starts at Long Pond Drive and Route 28 in South Yarmouth. Continue west on Route 28, over the Parker’s River Bridge, ending at Town N Country Motel, 452 Route 28, West Yarmouth. The road is closed off at Route 28 and Higgins Crowell Road/Berry Ave.

South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 20th, 1pm
The second largest parade in the US, up to one million people line the streets to watch the stream of colorful floats, bands, and marchers.  Heading into town to watch the parade?

Scituate St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 20th, 1pm
The Parade begins at the Gates Middle School on First Parish Road. It continues on First Parish Road past the Scituate Fire Station. At Scituate Harbor the parade turns left onto Front Street and continues to Jericho Road where it turns right and ends at Hatherly Road by the Satuit Tavern.  For parking and shuttle information, visit the parade website.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Abington
March 20th, 1pm
The 37th annual Abington St. Patrick’s Day Parade will in Abington Center at the corner of Orange St and Washington St., otherwise known as St. Patrick’s Square.

5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade (Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard)
March 12th, 11:30am
All are invited to participate in the spirited parade that will make its way down Edgartown’s Main Street. Post-march, children’s activities, Irish music, a special Family Dance-A-Rama and more will ensue. Those who wish to participate are encouraged to meet at the bottom of Dock Street at 11 a.m.

Mad Hatter’s Ball  – March 12th, 7pm-12am
Grand Marshal’s Dinner – March 17th, 6:30pm
St. Pat’s Plunge – March 19th, noon

Marshfield St. Patrick’s Day 5K
March 19th, 10am
5K road race and 2 mile walk. Race starts at the Venus II (277 Ocean Street).  Join us post race at Haddad’s Ocean Cafe while we hand out awards!  For race updates, see their Facebook page.

Irish Festival at Patriot Place
March 12th, 11am-4pm
Discover the joys of the Irish culture at our 7th Annual Irish Festival! The popular St. Patrick’s Day event features live performances by Irish musicians and step dancers, and free Irish-themed activities for children of all ages. The Irish Festival begins at 11:00am, and will occur rain or shine.

The Children’s Museum in Easton
March 17th
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Celtics crafts and a little leprechaun magic!
