Kids Summer Story Time Events

We hope you’ve been enjoying your summer so far, and keeping busy with our Summer Bucket List and other local tips!  Today we’re sharing some fun story time events happening through the end of August.  Some are held inside (great for beating the heat), or include craft projects or character appearances.  Most of these events are free, but please check individual websites for any preregistration requirements.  Enjoy! 

Barnes & Noble Hingham
Free story times on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10:30am.  Check the Barnes & Noble website for dates and details.


Barnes & Noble Braintree

Free story times on Tuesday and Friday Mornings at 11am.  Check the Barnes & Noble website for dates and details.

 

Paragon Carousel
Fridays at 10:30am

Free Friday Morning Storytime is held inside the carousel, read by one of your favorite characters.  Held on Friday mornings in July and August.

Showcase Cinema De Lux Foxboro
Tuesdays at 11:00am
Patriot Place offers a FREE weekly event for kids and their parents. Kids Club Storytime is held every Tuesday at Showcase Cinema de Lux at 11:00am.  After a story reading a special character makes a weekly appearance followed by a short movie. Don’t miss the surprises and the fun at this FREE, weekly event.

Aug 4th – Green Eggs & Ham (Visit from Cat in the Hat)

South Shore Children’s Museum
Sunday,Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday at 10:30am
Drop in for this fun hour of story telling, crafts and activities with Miss Debbie. You are never too young or too old to enjoy a great story! All ages welcome.  Please call ahead (781-206-4955) to let us know if you’ll be joining us, so we can prepare crafts and materials.  Note:  The museum is closed for renovations from July 4th-31st. 

 

South Shore Pottery Shop
Children under age 6 can enjoy story time and painting a piece related to the story.   Walk ins welcome.  Cost is $12.
