Webb Memorial State Park in Weymouth is one of our favorite local places to spend an hour or two. The park is a short drive from our house, making it an easy way to fill in an empty morning or afternoon. We love to stroll along the paths and explore on the stretches of rocky beach. The hard packed paths make it easy to walk with kids, and they’re stroller friendly too.
Restrooms are available near the entrance of the park. They ’re not glamorous, but are usually pretty clean.
At various points along the paths, you can cut across to the rocky beach that borders the peninsula. My kids could spend an hour skipping rocks here and watching the boats go by. The views are gorgeous!
Walk along the path a bit further to discover treasure on the beach.
Catch sight of the Boston skyline and the Harbor Islands along the way.
And explore the beach some more…
We even did a little Geocaching while were there!
Parking is free, and although the lot is pretty small, we usually find a spot. On a nice day there is a good amount of foot traffic at this park, but it’s not overcrowded.
