39th Annual Corn Festival
September 12 & 13 10am-4pm
South Shore Natural Science Center
Popular with families in the region, the Corn Festival is an annual event celebrating the fall harvest and the natural and cultural heritage of New England. Celebrate the fall with us in this fun festival highlighting the harvest! Hayrides, pony rides, animals, music, and demonstrations of traditional harvest activities will be the focus of the day. Don’t forget to sample the tastes of Kernal’s Kitchen where our famous corn chowder is served alongside other corn favorites.

 

South Shore Irish Festival
September 12th & 13th
Marshfield Fairgrounds
Over 20 Irish bands and Irish step dancers on two stages, Irish vendors, Irish exhibits, children’s activities, food and beverages.  Plus a visit from a Patriots cheerleader and Pat the Patriot!  See website for full schedule and times.

 

Endless Summer Waterfront Festival
Saturday, September 19th, 12-5pm
Nantasket Beach, Hull
Join us on Saturday September 19th ( rain date the 20th ) on Nantasket Avenue in Hull, MA from Noon – 5pm for the best late summer beach party anywhere in New England. This event is free to the public with free parking provided by the DCR right at the festival.

 

27th Annual Autumn Fest
September 26th, 10am-4pm
Bridgewater State University
This FUN-tastic day includes over 100 vendors, where you can sample the wonderful products and services our BBA Members and other vendors have to offer, delicious food and treats from local eateries, music and MC by JAS Productions, music with Felix And The Jazz Cats and The Bridgewater Brass Antiphonal Society, BSU Arts for Youth, crafts and face painting, live demonstrations and performances, activities for the kids, pumpkin decorating, train rides, moon bounce from Grant’s Rental,Barn Babies Traveling Petting Zoo, the Bridgewater Fire Department smoke house, Bridgewater Police Department K-9 demo, Poppee the Clown, child ID digital photo and fingerprinting (with the Fellowship Lodge A.F. & A.M.), Joe’s Crazzy Critters, Stardust Gym, …and much, much more!

 

Family Arts Festival
September 27th, 12-2:30pm
South Shore Conservatory – Hingham Campus
Open to the public, this free event welcomes area families to spend time together exploring music, dance, drama and instruments.  The Family Arts Festival kicks off with an interactive family concert with music, drama, and movement followed by an open house introducing the Conservatory’s many early childhood SSCreativeseeds programs.  After the concert, children ages 3 to 10 are encouraged to use their “Arts Passport” to travel through a variety of fun activities which include:

  • Music Together and Music Sprouts Demonstration Classes
  • Time Train Demonstration Class
  • Curtain Going Up Class Sampler
  • Piano FUNdamentals Class Sampler
  • Creative Dance Sampler
  • Suzuki Method Demonstrations
  • SSC Arts-Integrated Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten

 

Marshfield Oktoberfest

Marshfield Fairgrounds
Join us for a day of fall family fun at the Marshfield Fairgrounds. There will be lots of food and activities for all ages. This event highlights: live music, an inflatable park, a marketplace of local artisans, children’s activities & more!

 

Fall for Scituate
September 27th, 10am
North Scituate Village
The emphasis is on community when North Scituate Village hosts Fall for Scituate: A Hometown Celebration, in October. The annual ChowderFest, starring the traditional New England’s favorite, created by the area’s top restaurants and caterers, is a major highlight of the event, which also features entertainment, an invitational artisan show, special merchant activities and lots of community involvement.

 

Mad Love Music Festival
October 11th
South Shore Conservatory, Hingham
The Mad Love Music Festival is a one day celebration taking place on October 11, 2015 at South Shore Conservatory in Hingham, MA.  This outdoor festival will feature local musicians, food, drink and activities for the whole family.  Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Dave Jodka Scholarship for Future Rockers at the Conservatory, enabling students from all backgrounds to experience the love of music that Dave inspired in his family and in his life.

 

Fall Harvest Celebration
October 17th,  10am-4pm
Patriot Place, Foxboro
The sixth annual Fall Harvest Celebration begins behind Bass Pro Shops as Ocean Spray harvests the real working cranberry bog at Patriot Place on Saturday, October 17.  The day is filled with fall activities for all ages including hayrides, pumpkin painting, live music, and more!  Get a “Taste of Patriot Place” where our participating restaurants will turn the fruits of Ocean Spray cranberries into truly spectacular fall fare.
