We look forward to summer all year long it seems, but once it gets here there I hear a lot of “I’m bored” and “What are we doing today?”  If you’re stumped for ideas on what to do, we’ve pulled together a list of 100 things to do on the South Shore (and a bit beyond) that will keep your family busy all summer long.  This is our best list yet, and we are so excited to share it with you!

Whether you’re looking to spend time outdoors or in, if you want to be active or use your imagination, we’ve got an idea for you.  We’ve included loads of links to help you plan, and lots of FREE activities to save you money.   Check it out, and have a great summer!

  1. Watch the players practice at Patriots Training Camp & play in the Fan Zone
  2. Have a Tree Top Adventure in Canton
  3. Listen to one of these Free Summer Story Times
  4. See what’s happening at Faneuil Hall (storytelling on Tuesdays, Kids Art on Wednesdays…)
  5. Get artistic at a Pop Up Art School workshop
  6. Train to be a Ninja Warrior at TA Fitness (Saturday courses & Open Gym times)
  7. Take a swim during Family Swim Time at Goldfish Swim School in Braintree
  8. Catch a show from Big Ryan’s Tall Tales
  9. Visit the Paragon Carousel for their free summer activities, or just take a ride!
  10. Listen to a Wacky Wednesday Concert at the South Shore Conservatory
  11. Cool off in a local Splash Park
  12. Watch a movie under the stars at a Free Outdoor Movie this summer

  14. Practice your rock walls skills at Challenge Rocks (Hingham) or Rock On Adventure (Norwood)
  15. Take a walk through Norris Reservation in Norwell

  19. Visit Heritage Museum & Gardens in Sandwich, then go climbing at their Adventure Park!
