2017 Easter Events

Spring is here, and Easter is around the corner!  Here are some fun family-friendly events happening around the South Shore (and a bit beyond) in the next few weeks:

Bass Pro Shops  (Foxboro)
Free
Easter Egg Hunt:  Saturday, April 15th from 2-3pm
Easter Events:  April 8-9 & 15-16 11am-6pm, April 10-14 6-8pm, April 14 2-8pm.
Free 4×6 photo with the Easter Bunny each day.
Free Crafts Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm, and Friday 4/14 from 2-5pm.

Buttonwood Park Zoo (New Bedford)
Easter EggZOOberance:  April 8th, 9th & 15th at 9:30am.
Hop over to the Buttonwood Park Zoo to meet the Easter Bunny! Enjoy an egg-cellent breakfast buffet, face painting, meet and greet with some of our animal residents and then head out into the Zoo for an Easter egg hunt. You can even watch some of the Zoo animals receive their Easter eggs! Don’t forget to bring a camera to capture your Easter Bunny visit. Zoo admission and free train and carousel rides, weather permitting, are included in the program price.  Zoo Members: $20/person; Non-members: $25/person.  Children under one are free.

Dave & Busters (Braintree)
Egg Hunt & Breakfast with the Easter Bunny:  April 8th, 8:30am-11am
Enjoy a buffet breakfast, Easter egg hunt and a visit with the Easter Bunny.  Bring your own camera to snap a picture with the bunny when he walks around the room to visit tables!

 

Faneuil Hall (Boston)
Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt: April 8th at 11:30am.
Clue sheets and baskets will begin right at 11:30 am and the event lasts until all eggs are found. Pick up your Easter basket and clue sheet then solve the clues to figure out which businesses around Faneuil Hall are hiding all the candy filled eggs! This event is free and meant for children ages 1-13 years old accompanied by an adult. Supplies are limited, please show up right at the start time.
Free Pet Photos with the Easter Bunny:  April 8th at 12:00pm in the South Market (near Wagamama).
Roger Williams Park Zoo (Providence, RI)
The Easter Bunny will be at our Spring Festival on Saturday, April 8 at the Carousel.  Additionally, everyone is welcome to visit with the Easter Bunny, at the Carousel, on Sunday, April 9, Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Carousel.  Bring your camera!

Paragon Park Carousel (Hull)
Easter Bunny Photos: Sat., April 15, from 12 noon-3 pm. (open 11 am – 5 pm)
Annual Easter Egg Dash: Sunday, April 16. 12:30 pm SHARP! (open 11 am – 6 pm)

South Shore Natural Science Center  (Norwell)
Spring Egg-Stravaganza:  April 8th at 10:00am & 1:00pm
Rabbits, chickens and eggs are a sure sign of spring! We’ll learn how to decorate eggs with natural dyes, enjoy an egg hunt and search for clues that spring is near.  Space is limited.

Greater Boston Easter Egg Drop  (Dedham)
Saturday, April 1st from 1pm-3pm
Thousands of Easter eggs will fall from the sky at this year’s Greater Boston Easter Egg Drop, a fun and festive event for the whole family! A helicopter will drop the Easter eggs over Barnes Memorial Park for kids to collect in age-specific zones. There will also be inflatables, face painting, temporary tattoos, balloon animals, giveaways, music, pictures with the Easter Bunny and more!  This event is free but registration is required, capacity is limited.

Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary (Norton)
Winslow Farm will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 25 & 26, April 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 & 16 from 12pm to 3pm.  Adults $10, children 2 and up $5.  Bring your own baskets!
