2017 Fall Festivals and Celebrations on the South Shore

Come out and celebrate all things fall with these festivals and celebrations!   There will be tons of family fun, including pony rides, crafts, hay rides, games, music and more.

As always, be sure to check with individual event sites before heading out in case of time changes or weather cancellations.

 

Fall Farm Festival
Weir River Farm, Hingham
September 30, 10am-4pm
Come celebrate the fall harvest season with some good old-fashioned fun at one the last working farms in Hingham. Grab your friends and family and join us at Weir River Farm for our annual Fall Festival! Visit with our farm animals, climb aboard a tractor, paint your own pumpkin, learn about beekeeping and how to press apple cider, challenge your friends at the potato spoon relay or make a scarecrow, and make sure to enjoy a pony ride! While you are at the event, be sure to stop by the Farm Stand Sale, where we invite you to walk through the fields to pick your own popcorn. Looking for even more? Green Harbor HarvestFest Marshfield
October 14, 12pm-5pm
Great family event. Local items, music, food and fun.

Norwell Farms Harvest Festival
October 15, 1pm-4pm
Enjoy an obstacle course, pony rides, live music, hay rides, baby animals, a pumpkin patch, a mechanical pumpkin, face painting and more!  $20 per family. Food, beverages and artisan goods sold separately.

Farm Day at Daniel Webster
October 21, 10am-4pm
It's Mass Audubon’s biggest South Shore celebration of the year! Head on down to Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary where the grasslands will be transformed into a festival of fall farm fun. With tractor-drawn hayrides through beautiful fields, live bluegrass music, educational presentations, games, crafts, artisans, delicious food, and more!

 

Harvest Celebration at Patriot Place
October 22, 10am-4pm
The seventh annual Fall Harvest Celebration at Patriot Place begins behind Bass Pro Shops as Ocean Spray harvests the real working cranberry bog at Patriot Place on Saturday, October 22.  The day is filled with fall activities for all ages including hayrides, pumpkin painting, live music, and more!

Fall For Scituate
October 22, 11am-4pm
The 6th annual Fall for Scituate Family Friendly Fall Celebration in North Scituate Village has something for everyone.  Start the day off with a Princess meet and greet. The kiddos will love the Bubble Man and Toe Jam Puppet Band Halloween show. Don't forget to wear a costume. Everyone will enjoy the music from one of Scituate's many awesome bands Doc Ellis.. Take a Hay Ride and swaddle baby animals in our Petting Zoo. Enter the Ice Cream Eating Contest. Browse the local artisans in our Artisans Marketplace. Many of your favorites are returning along with lots of new artisans. What's for lunch? Burgers, Dogs, Wood Fired Pizza. Top it off with a hot cider donut, or just snack on popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream or a sno cone. Face Painting, Balloon Animals, Craft Table and so much more...... Come early and spend the day.

 

Pumpkinfest 2017 Fall Family Festival at Hale Reservation
October 21st, 10am-2pm
Families can enjoy a fun-filled day of activities that includes hayrides, moonwalks, petting zoos, live bands, face painting, balloons and much more! With a bake sale, pizza and grilled items, Pumpkinfest is an all-day celebration in bucolic Cat Rock Park at the Carby Street entrance of Hale Reservation. A fantastic silent auction including loads of autographed Patriots items, hotel stays, gift cards to local restaurants and shops, and summer camps will be held at the event for some incredible deals and experiences.
