Family Fun with the Brockton Rox!

rox0If you’re looking to treat the kids to a ballpark experience, but you’re not ready for a trip to Fenway just yet, the Brockton Rox could be just the thing for you!

This summer we took our boys (5 and 3 years old) to a Brockton Rox ‘Family Fun Night’ and it was great! To start, the kids were allowed to go out onto the field before the start of the game, and were each given a tennis ball to play catch with. They were thrilled. During the game there was face painting and balloon animals in the concourse area. To top it all off, it was a Star Wars Themed night, complete with Star Wars characters roaming throughout the stadium. The kids were in complete awe of Hans Solo, Princess Leia, countless Storm Troopers, and an extremely authentic looking Chewbacca! The characters were available for pictures with the fans (young and old) before and during the game.

Campanelli stadium is smaller, and completely manageable for parents with younger kids, but still authentic enough to give them that ballpark experience. It’s convenient to get, especially if you live south of Boston.  Parking was $5 at lot right across the street from the stadium, with no wait to get out at the end of the night. Tickets prices were reasonable too, we paid $7.50 a seat and were in the front row! You can also get a discount with your Shaw’s rewards card.

Family Fun Nights are offered a few times during the season. The Rox also have lots of other promotions going on during the summer… Hannah Montana night, Friday Night Fireworks, and much more. Checkout their website for more information.
