The Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts are starting off this year’s summer camp season with the Forever Green Festival on June 3rd to celebrate their 100th birthday! This event (open to the public) will have lots of great family activities, including a hot air balloon, a New England Aquarium Touch Tank, the Roger Williams Mobile Zoo, arts & crafts, a dunk tank, face painting, sports and games, plus live performances from the Toe Jam Puppet Band, Marcus the Magician & the Magicompany, and the Rhythm Room.
It’s time to hit the pumpkin patches and find those perfect gourds! We took the kids this weekend (a little weird to be climbing over pumpkin vines in shorts) and had a blast. There are some great local places to pick-your-own pumpkins, many include other attractiosn like hayrides, animals, and even corn mazes!
What screams FALL more than a corn maze? Head on down to down to Sauchuk Farm in Plympton to test your sense of direction in their new fall maze! There are two mazes to choose from at the farm, the main maze (takes 1-2 hours to complete) and the kiddie maze if you’re feeling a little less adventurous (takes about 15 minutes to get through).
